GW:EN Pricing
On my return to Guildwars I decided to purchase the only GW product I didn't already own. However I stumbled upon a small problem. Every game store I could contact in Hereford and Worcester (midlands UK) was sold out. So I figured I'd make my purchases from the on-line store and just live without a complete set of boxed products.
Alas, while every other store I can find from Gamestation and Game to Amazon has the game priced at £12.99 to £14.99 the on-line store remains priced at £24.99.
Anyone have any idea when this is going to change since the game is likely shipping to suppliers for around £10 and I begrudge paying 150% extra for a non-physical copy of it.
I'm impatient, and don't really fancy waiting another week or two for the game to come back in stock so I'll probably end up purchasing it from the in-game store in the next few of days. However I would like to know if past example shows that the in-game store changes to reflect store prices within the week or if it takes longer.
Basically should I wait, or just buy it.

If you are impatient, and have the extra money to spend, then go ahead. But if you can keep yourself occupied, you should wait.
Besides you can beat GW:EN very quickly

Main reason I want it is for the new skills and title farming Hall of Monuments has gotten me re-motivated as has my new Ranger.
I hear it's a whole lot easier to get Survivor maxed out in the Knockout quest/mini-game/thing than farming Jade Brotherhood Knights. So I can't really start up my new character until I get my mitts on it.

Then I would just recommend getting it now.
It wont drop in in price from the online store by the way, so dont be waiting for that. Since its direct from the manufacturer/publisher, its always at MSRP. You can get it cheaper from another online store, but then you'll need to pay shipping anyway.

Your probably right, by time I pay shipping and fees on an on-line copy or travel and lunch for a store bought one I'll probably have almost spent the £10 I would have saved.

Buy it online from an online store like Best Buy or something. Don't know who you have over there.

I purchased it from the on-line store... I'm not 100% happy about paying more and not getting a boxed copy, but such is the price of impatience.
I've waited a week already.
Thanks all for your input.

Just for the recrod, the reason the online store is so much more expensive is that the B&M (brick and morter) stores would have a conniption is ANet lowered the price to match what they are selling it for. ANet sells it to them for price X and recommends price Y which is what ANet will be selling it for, it's up to the stores if they stick with X or drop to Z. Can you imagine Walmarts reaction if Anet suddenly dropped the price to 9.99 which may or may not be what they originally sold it to Walmart for?
